Terms & Coaching Policies

Effective September 8, 2026

These Terms & Coaching Policies explain the conditions that apply to this website and to services offered by Tanner Thorp Coaching LLC. They are provided for business transparency and do not replace a signed coaching agreement. If a signed agreement conflicts with this page, the signed agreement controls.

Website Terms

Website content is for general informational and educational purposes. It does not create a coach-client relationship, constitute professional advice, or guarantee any particular result. Testimonials describe individual experiences and are not promises of similar outcomes. Third-party links and services are provided for convenience; Tanner Thorp Coaching LLC does not control their content, availability, or privacy practices.

Coaching Disclaimer

Coaching is a collaborative, future-focused process that supports reflection, decision-making, accountability, leadership development, and professional growth. It is not psychotherapy, counseling, medical care, legal advice, tax or financial advice, human-resources representation, recruiting, employment placement, crisis care, or a substitute for licensed professional services. Clients remain responsible for their decisions, actions, wellbeing, and results. In an emergency, call 911; in the United States, call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

Credentials and Ethics

Tanner Thorp earned a Certified Life Coach Certification from Lumia on March 9, 2021 through an ICF-accredited coach training program. His practice is guided by the ICF Code of Ethics. This statement does not represent that Tanner holds a personal ICF credential unless expressly stated elsewhere.

Packages, Fees, and Payment

  • Coaching packages generally run for three months. The exact fee, number and length of sessions, deliverables, and term are stated in the proposal and signed agreement.
  • Payment is due in full unless an approved installment plan is selected. Installment plans may include a clearly disclosed premium.
  • For employer-sponsored engagements, the sponsoring organization contracts with and pays Tanner Thorp Coaching LLC directly.
  • Multi-employee engagements, group coaching, and workshops are available by custom proposal and may qualify for volume pricing.

Scheduling, Cancellation, and Expiration

Clients must cancel or reschedule a coaching session at least 48 hours in advance. A late cancellation or missed session is ordinarily forfeited. Unused sessions expire at the end of the package term. Tanner may make reasonable exceptions for genuine emergencies at his discretion.

Refund Policy

Coaching packages are nonrefundable except where required by law. If Tanner Thorp Coaching LLC ends an engagement without client breach, an ethical reason, or another basis stated in the agreement and cannot provide the remaining services, the client’s remedy will be a prorated refund or credit for prepaid, undelivered sessions, as appropriate.

Format, Access, and Expenses

  • Sessions are normally virtual. If in-person services are requested and accepted, the client or sponsor pays approved travel, lodging, meals, and local transportation expenses.
  • Between-session email access is available during regular business hours with an expected response within 24 business hours.
  • Text-message access is available only when included in a package or purchased separately.

Faith-Integrated and Values-Based Coaching

Clients may choose a values-based secular pathway or a voluntary Christian faith-integrated pathway. A client may change this preference at any time. Faith-integrated coaching may include reflection on faith, purpose, values, and Scripture when requested, but it is not pastoral care, theological instruction, or spiritual direction.

Assessments and Materials

Only non-clinical, non-diagnostic assessments and tools Tanner is trained or authorized to administer will be used. Tanner will not administer an instrument that requires a professional license or qualification he does not hold. Exercises, assessments, and workbooks may be values-based or faith-integrated according to client preference.

Employer-Sponsored Coaching and Confidentiality

The sponsoring organization signs the service contract and pays for the engagement; each participant signs a coaching agreement. Sponsor reporting is limited to enrollment and completion, scheduling or attendance, mutually agreed goals, aggregate information, participant-approved progress measures, and necessary logistics. Tanner does not share session content, private disclosures, coaching notes, or unapproved assessment results without the participant’s written consent, except when disclosure is required by law, necessary to address imminent risk, or otherwise provided in the signed agreement. Tanner is not the participant’s evaluator, workplace investigator, or substitute for the sponsor’s human-resources function.

Coaching confidentiality is important but is not the same as legal privilege. For workshops and group coaching, participants are asked to respect one another’s privacy, but Tanner cannot guarantee the conduct or confidentiality of other participants.

Intellectual Property

The FORTH coaching framework, “Go FORTH,” “Go FORTH and do great things,” and related original materials are proprietary to Tanner Thorp Coaching LLC. References to these names do not state or imply that a trademark registration has been issued unless specifically identified as registered. Client materials are licensed for the client’s personal or internal organizational use and may not be copied, sold, taught, or distributed without written permission.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Tanner Thorp Coaching LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from website use or coaching decisions. Nothing on this page limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be limited.

Governing Law and Changes

These terms are governed by Washington law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Venue for disputes will be in Kitsap County, Washington, unless the signed agreement or applicable law requires otherwise. These policies may be updated periodically; the effective date above identifies the current version.
